This week I am looking to Gothic inspirations for my wedding moodboard with Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. No decade embraced Gothic novels more than the Victorians with their fascination with mortality and mourning, making this an apt theme for Halloween.
To get the look include:
- Silvery hues and shabby lace, iconic with Miss Havisham
- Dark wooden tables
- Ornate props
- Flickering candles
- Cascading bouquets made up of Veronica, hydrangeas, brunia, dusty miller and peonies.
- Or for something a little different try a bouquet of dried flowers.
