A Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding

A Midsummer Night’s Dream has always been my favourite Shakespeare play. As a child I dreamed of having a forest wedding adorned with twinkle lights and fairies, in fact that still sounds very appealing, so when I decided to do another wedding inspiration post I was very excited to design this one.

There is no theme more magical in my mind, being surrounded by an abundance of moss, fruit and candlelight in a bohemian woodland is the epitome of romanticism.

Large flowing bouquets and centrepieces made up of Anemone, Ranunculus, Foxglove, Stocks and Amaranthus give a rustic and enchanted feel. Embroidered, lightweight  dresses beautifully compliment the floral displays, and if you like a bit of colour in your dress then Claire Pettibone could be the designer for you with the likes of Raven, Papillion, Beauty and Olivia in her collection (Is it obvious how much I love Claire Pettibone’s work?) But if something more traditional is what you’re after then Ian Stuart’s aptly named Midsummer Dream might be perfect for you.
